Design, develop, and administer web applications for a variety of digital library initiatives, including the Making of Modern Michigan grant, the Euglenoid project, and the Feeding America project. Lead programmer for all Library Java/JSP based web applications. Administer MySQL database services, including replication and backup. Responsible for the management and administration of the library-wide storage area network, including Samba and HTTP access, as well as off-site backup facilities.

2003 - 2004 -- Web Application Programmer, Systems Technician Student/Part-Time

Responsible for the implementation and rollout of the Linux networked backup system, using BRU-Pro and an Overland Storage Ultrium-2 autoloader. Administered multiple Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows 2000 servers that provided a range of services, including MySQL, Apache, Samba, and rsync. Led the programming and implementation of a Cold Fusion based content management system prototype. Responsible for the migration and testing of DMC web applications, to Cold Fusion MX. Led a team in the evaluation and purchase of a SAN solution, for multi-terabyte data archiving. Designed an extensible and reusable toolkit for web application login and permission management. Implemented and extended a Java based OAI-PMH Harvester for set limited metadata archiving.

2002 - 2003 -- Web Application Programmer Student/Part-Time

Developed an online cataloging and workflow tracking system for the MSU Vincent Voice Library (http://vvl.lib.msu.edu/). Setup a Linux based MySQL Database server. Designed, created, and administered the database tables to be used for VVL information storage. Developed, programmed, and tested Cold Fusion based applications which form the public access and staff management interfaces for the Voice LibraryÕs collection.
